BOARD DIRECTOR:MAVIS KANJADZA

Mavis Zaina Kanjadza joined as Board Director of African Institute of Corporate Citienship (AICC) in 2019. She is currently serving as the Chief Executive Officer of Kanjadza Acres.Mavis Kanjadza studied Accounting at the University of Malawi and she holds professional accounting qualifications from Association of Chartered Accountants (ACCA).

She has once worked for Standard Bank as Finance Manager-Personal and Business Banking (PBB where she was responsible for advising the PBB Executive Committee (Exco) on new and existing projects to ensure optimal decisions are made, monitor product, segment, branch and business unit performance and profitability, develop and implement reporting of key Management Information (MI) ensuring data integrity and timely communication to relevant stakeholders and analyse risks from within and without the business and develop mitigation plans among others.

Mavis also worked as Finance Manager (Forex Bureau) for Standard Bank where she was the custodian of the General Ledger, Chart of Accounts, and the repository for all Financial and Management information for the Bureau, monitoring all balance sheet and income statement account movements, ensuring relevant account reconciliations are performed and ensured timely corrective actions are taken, reviewing suspense accounts to ensure daily clearance, manage all aspects of fixed asset accounting, ensuring that amounts ultimately recorded in the general ledger are correct and performing detailed review and analysis of the Bureau numbers to confirm the integrity and resilience of reported results.

Mavis also worked as a Lecturer at Malawi College of Accountancy where she was teaching various levels of PAEC (Public Accountants Examination Council) Malawi, Association for Business Executives (ABE) United Kingdom and ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants) United Kingdom, courses, developing examinations in line with the approved examination board standards and facilitating various short courses and workshops.

She has extensive experience of the private sector and finance. She brings 13 years of experience in professional management.
